Hello Everyone,
I hope all of you are doing well. I know it has been a little weird since the year 2020 started. We had Covid-19 hit the nation and a lot if cities shut down. Then we had the recent unfortunate killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor which spark major protests all around the world. Their family and love ones are in our thoughts and prayers.
I would like to say that I'm here to bring a some good news and highlights from Knowing Your Worth Inc.
I first would like to say hello and welcome to the new subscribers to Knowing Your Worth Inc. Thank you for subscribing and being apart of this great platform. You will not be disappointed.
Secondly, I would like to say Thank you to everyone who supported the first Knowing Your Worth Virtual Summit. We had a great turn out from the teen girls, and we had girls from many different cities like Atlanta, Louisville, Chicago, Oklahoma, Houston, Mississippi and many more. We had the awesome DJ Simone Majesty, and she did great. We had awesome speakers, and they drop some amazing gems. We were able to provide some amazing giveaways and the girls were able to network with speakers and each other. This will not be Knowing Your Worth last virtual event. If your teen girl attended the event please have her complete the evaluation. If you teen girl didn't attend the event you can still complete the evaluation and let us know what type of events your teen girl would like to attend.
Knowing Your Worth was able to provide our 2nd annual scholarship to a graduating senior. Her name is Janel Andrews, and she will be attending Langston University in the Fall. Let me tell you, Janel Andrews is a name you will want to remember. Janel is a young lady who will one day change the world. She blew the Knowing Your Worth Inc boards members away with her awesome essay and her amazing goals. Please help me congratulate Janel Andrews.
Knowing Your Worth Plans to host more virtual events, and we are hoping to have a back to school event in August. I will keep you updated on details. If you have any questions please let me know.
Knowing Your Worth is talking about starting an academy for teen girls it will be a safe place for girls to network and connect with some amazing women in different fields. More details to come.
