Knowing Your Worth Incorporated is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization. Launched in 2017, Knowing Your Worth mission is to uplift young girls and to teach them to always maintain self-esteem, self-confidence and to always know their worth. This is taught through workshops and mentorship, to brand future confident women. Knowing your worth will be hosting its 2nd Annual Project Prom Giveaway in Oklahoma and our first Project Prom Give Away in Houston.
Every adolescent girl looks forward to going to prom in her junior or senior year. We all know that prom is very expensive and some girls are not able to attend because they can’t afford a dress, shoes, jewelry, makeup, hair and nails. Knowing Your Worth would like to assist with some of these essentials. Project Prom will be selecting two awesome young ladies. We will be choosing one young lady in Oklahoma and one young lady in Houston. They will received complimentary hair, nails and makeup services for the Oklahoma Give Away and complimentary hair and makeup services for the Houston Give Away. If you know someone who deserves and is in NEED of the KYW Project Prom please submit an application.

We were not able to locate a nail artist in Houston, but we have had someone donate funds toward project prom so a young lady will be able to get her nails done. We also have a photographer that will be donating her services to capture the special moments before our teen girl head to prom.
If you have a teen girl or know a teen girl who is heading to prom here are a few tips to remember to prepare for prom.
1. Have a budget set and talk to your teen girl about the budget months before prom.
2. Start planning for prom in January and February. You might think that is very early, but it's really not. You need to talk to your teen girl about the budget and what her vision is for prom.
3.Ask your teen girl how she feels about prom and her expectations. Every teen girl doesn't want to go to prom and every teen girl doesn't need a date for prom.
4. Be supportive of your teen girl, and listen to her when she has ups and downs about prom.
5. Last tip have fun with your teen girl during this time. She will always remember this special outing, and you want her to remember the special memories that you two had together during this time.
